Speaking in Cartagena, Colombia alongside Leon Panetta
I love speaking to CEOs. They bring candor. Dive into the insights. And they ask great questions!
This was exactly my experience speaking in Cartagena, Colombia at the Latin America CEO Summit for JP Morgan. This was my sixth event for JP Morgan and my first for them in Latin America. Speaking in Latin America is always exciting for me because of the culture, history, vibrancy, intelligence, and emerging trends originating there. Plus, their audiences love to laugh and bring such great energy which is perfect for my interactive presentation.
This event was filled with the leading CEOs across the region and included some amazing event experiences from food to history. One unexpected highlight for me was getting to share the stage with Secretary Leon E. Panetta! His presentation and perspective were deeply fascinating, filled with stories I’d only seen in news headlines, and he answered questions with authenticity and humor. Wow. Such an amazing event.
In my keynote I shared our latest discoveries into trends shaping generations, how they apply in Latin America, what we’re seeing as Gen Z emerges, and what this means to employers, brands, entrepreneurs, and leaders. And the interaction was off the charts—and even with simultaneous translation!
Creating a CEO Summit for a major global region is challenging from content to logistics, but this one had all the best elements and I got to explore lovely Cartagena. I feel that Latin America is often overlooked yet there is so much going on there that deserves greater recognition. Being in Colombia, exploring Cartagena, and sharing meals and conversations with the CEO attendees reinforced to me the incredible opportunity and energy across the region. It was an experience I will always remember!
