Keynoting to Over 4,000 City and County Managers at ICMA’s Annual Conference!
I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be the keynote speaker at ICMA’s Annual Conference! Speaking to over 4,000 attendees—city and county managers from around the world—was such an inspiring experience. I loved learning about the countless ways these leaders are making a difference in their communities every day. Three things really stood out to me from this unforgettable event.
- Thoughtful Customization of Content
ICMA did an outstanding job tailoring the content to meet the needs of their diverse members, representing every generation, role, and geographic background. This level of customization ensured that there was something valuable for everyone, no matter their experience or location. I truly believe that this type of thoughtful planning leads to better outcomes for attendees and creates a more impactful event overall. - Incredible Attention to Detail
The attention to detail at ICMA was off the charts! From the beautifully designed stage to the seating arrangement for 4,000 people and the massive exhibit hall filled with resources, every aspect was carefully planned with purpose. I was especially grateful to the amazing production crew for allowing me to leave the main stage and engage with the audience during my keynote. The energy and responses I received were fantastic! - A Multi-Generational Audience
One of the most exciting aspects of the event was the representation of five different generations of city and county managers. It was inspiring to see how leaders from diverse backgrounds and geographies shared their experiences and collaborated to serve their communities. I also had the honor of cheering on award recipients who had dedicated over 50 years of service—what an incredible milestone!
I want to extend a huge thank you to ICMA for inviting me to speak and for creating such an impactful event. The laughs, engagement, and energy in the room made it truly unforgettable.
