2 Keynotes, 1 Big Impact: Speaking at TAA ONE

Wow. Sometimes the only thing to say is WOW—and that’s exactly how I felt as a speaker, collaborator, and backstage guest at the incredible Texas Apartment Association ONE Conference in Houston.

It was a tremendous honor to speak at the invitation-only Executive Edge event. The format created real conversation—direct, thoughtful, and full of insights. The questions and dialogue reflected just how deeply these leaders are thinking about the future. It was clear that the session set the tone for the rest of the conference. Smart move by the TAA team.

I was also thrilled to debut our newest generational research at the event. We shared never-before-released data on how each generation views home ownership, saving, the economy, and more. What makes these insights so powerful is that they’re not just about statistics—they reveal the behaviors behind the trends that lead to real decisions and business outcomes.

One of the most meaningful moments happened backstage when I met Tunde Oyeneyin, the globally acclaimed Peloton instructor and speaker. She shared her incredible story on stage—and then, without hesitation, recorded a surprise birthday message for my wife, Denise. It was unexpected, generous, and something I won’t forget. Thank you, Tunde.

From the production to the programming to the details that make a conference feel personal, the TAA ONE team delivered. Huge shout-out to the entire TAA team and support crew. You made it happen.

TAA ONE—you are definitely the ONE. Thank you for creating a generationally inspiring, future-focused, and deeply meaningful experience.
